Getting started
How to run this workshop
Make a copy of the Google Doc — go to File → Make a copy.
Start with Step 1: define the single outcome your workshop should produce.
Work through each step in order — don't skip the constraint-setting step, it makes everything else easier.
Use the agenda template in Step 6 to draft your session flow.
Run a 10-minute dry-run with a colleague before the real session to catch any gaps.
Tips for first-time facilitators
- 1
Don't skip Step 1 (define the outcome). Every other step is easier when you're clear on this.
- 2
The dry-run in Step 7 feels unnecessary — until the one time you skip it and it goes wrong.
- 3
Design for 20% less content than your time slot. You will almost always run over.
